Week 26 – Skeins N⁰. 25 and N⁰. 26 Waffle Socks + Knit Dishcloths

Scraffito mountian goat hand made ceramic plate with hand knit dishcloth by Madeleine Roberg

Can you believe that I am already half way through this project!!!!!!!  Week 26 is the half way point for this 52 week project and since I was a week behind on my skeins, I decided that I would start with a skein of Sugar’n Cream and make a few dishcloths.  We don’t have a dishwasher, so I like to make some nice dishcloths every now and again. Sugar'n Cream Dishcloth Knitting YarnOne skein of yarn made exactly two dishcloths.  The mountain goat plate is my favorite ceramic piece that I made last year.  I hope that I can make some more of these this year.

Now that I am a sock knitter, I thought that maybe I would like our local yarn store.  I thought that maybe that was the type of project to make use of his yarn selection, but alas he didn’t have much in the manner of sock yarn but I did find one usable skein.

Skein of Happy Feet 100 Plymouth Yarn

I didn’t get much additional knitting in last week so on Friday night I finished up the first sock, using this Happy Feet 100 by Plymouth Yarns and the same Blueberry Waffle Sock pattern I used in Week 24. On Saturday I wanted to make a whole sock in a single day.  I started out slow but steady in the morning but I had forgotten I had some things to do in the afternoon so I wasn’t able to simply sit and knit for the entire day.
